Deputy Minister of Defense for strategy and policy meets Chines delegation

 Tamim Assi, deputy minister of defense for policy and strategy met with Chinese military delegation led by the Director of International Relations and Regional Cooperation of China’s Defense Ministry.

At the meeting, both sides discussed mutual cooperation between the armies of the two nations, fighting terrorism and insurgency and especially quadrilateral cooperation between Afghanistan, China, Tajikistan and Pakistan, aimed at coordinated fight against terrorism.

Commending China’s assistance in either military or civil arenas, Assi defined terrorism as a common threat and enemy to the region and rest of the world, also stressed on persistent fight against the threat.

Director of International Relations and Regional Cooperation of the Chinese Defense Ministry praised achievements of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in fight against terrorism and promised more assistance of China with Afghanistan.

Later on, LTG. Ghulam Sakhi, Deputy Minister of Defense for Supply, Technology and logistic met with the Chines delegation and appreciated China for its significant assistance whereas Chinese delegation renewed its commitment for the Afghan National Defense and Security forces.
