40 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country      

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 11 clearing operations and carried out 79 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 84 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 6 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 40 insurgents were killed and 22 were wounded and 5 were detained.

These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Ghazni, Paktikah, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Sir-e Pol, Faryab, Samangan, Nimruz and Helmand provinces.

In these operations, 14 insurgents were killed, 9 were wounded and 3 hideouts were destroyed in Dawlat Abad district of Faryab. 9 insurgents were killed and 4 ISIS fighters were detained in Khogyani and Surkh Rod districts of Nangarhar Province. 8 insurgents were killed and 8 were wounded in Ghorak district of Kandahar. 6 insurgents were killed, 4 were wounded and a vehicle was destroyed in Andar and Qarabagh districts of Ghazni Province.

Similarly, one insurgent was killed and another was wounded in Alishing district of Laghman. An insurgent was killed and 2 hideouts were destroyed in capital of Uruzgan Province. An insurgent was killed in Khashrod district of Nimruz Province. An insurgent was killed in Nijrab district of Kapisa Province.
