35 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country      

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 15 clearing operations and carried out 81 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 38 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 2 airstrikes on enemies’ positions. As a result, 35 insurgents were killed and 41 were wounded and 5 were detained.

These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Nangarhar, Kunar, Kapisa, Parwan, Ghazni, Khost, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Badghis, Balkh, Jowzjan, Takhar and Helmand provinces.

In these operations, 16 insurgents were killed, 9 were wounded in Trenkut district of Uruzgan. 5 insurgents were killed, 10 were wounded and Khamdan, Usamuddin and Tajik Qaeshlak villages were cleared of enemies in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar. 4 insurgents were killed and 16 were wounded in Ab-Kamari district of Badghis. 5 insurgents were killed, 4 were wounded in Qarabagh district of Ghazni Province.

Similarly, 2 insurgents were killed, 2 were wounded in Maruf district of Kandahar. An insurgent was killed, 1 mine facility, 1 depot of IED, 2 bags of explosives, 10 suicide vests and 27 round of IED s were discovered and defused and Kharouti, Masjed and Khasha Bazar villages were cleared of enemy in Garmsir district of Helmand. One insurgent was killed, 5 were detained, some weapons and ammunition were destroyed in capital of Parwan. An insurgent was killed in Gurbuz district of Khost.
